At WorldEd Foundation, we are committed to creating opportunities for students around the globe to access quality education through our digital K-12 school. Our scholarship programs are designed to provide financial support, encouragement, and unique learning experiences to students who meet our application requirements.

Enlightening Minds, Empowering Futures 

BetterFutures Scholarship Program 
 

The BetterFutures program aims to shape a sustainable and equitable future by aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). We provide scholarships to students who demonstrate a commitment to education and community involvement. 
 

Special Single Course Scholarship Offering 

As part of the BetterFutures Program, WorldEd also offers a unique scholarship for the Global Impact and International Business Strategies: A Project-Based Approach course. This course prepares students for global opportunities driven by globalization. It equips them with open, culturally diverse perspectives, qualifying them for careers that demand global awareness and adaptability.

This scholarship opportunity is available from 2025 to 2029 and applies to both the fall and spring semesters. Enrollment is based on available funding and sponsorships. 

 

Scholarship Offerings :

United Voices Scholarship 

The United Voices Scholarship is part of our annual social media project promoting inclusion, understanding, and tolerance. This scholarship is available to students aged 13-17 who actively participate in the United Voices project and demonstrate leadership in promoting inclusion.

How to Apply 

If you are a student interested in applying to study at WorldEd American K-12 School, please review our scholarship opportunities below to see if you qualify. 

Fill out the scholarship pre-application form available on our website. 

Complete the Pre-Application Form

Scholarship committees review applications to ensure they meet basic criteria. If your application passes this initial screening, you move to the next stage to send in your completed application by the deadline. 

Pre-Screening and Submission

Provide transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a personal statement outlining your goals and how you align with the WorldEd Foundation's mission in your pre-application.

Selected applicants will be invited for an interview to discuss their application and goals.

Scholarship Application Requirements 

To apply for a scholarship at WorldEd American K-12 School, students must meet the following requirements:

General Requirements 

  1. Age and Enrollment: 
    Applicants must be within the K-12 age range and currently enrolled or planning to enroll in WorldEd American K-12 School. Applicants applying for the Dual Diploma program must be enrolled in their local school. 

  2. Academic Excellence: 
    Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent in the most recent academic year. 
    Provide official transcripts or report cards. 

  3. Community Involvement: 
    Demonstrate active participation in community service, extracurricular activities, or leadership roles. 

  4. Personal Statement: 
    Submit a personal statement (250-500 words) detailing your academic goals, involvement in community service, and how you align with the WorldEd Foundation's mission to promote education, inclusion, and sustainability. 

Specific Scholarship Requirements 

BetterFutures Scholarship Program 

  • Commitment to UN SDGs: Describe how your academic and extracurricular activities contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. 

  • Recommendation Letters: Provide two letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or community leaders who can attest to your character, achievements, and commitment to education and community service. 

In addition to these criteria, the BetterFutures Scholarship Program application process will require International Students interested in the Dual Diploma program and the Global Impact and International Business Strategies: High School Status: Currently be enrolled in a local school from your country. 
 

United Voices Scholarship 

Deadlines 

  • Applications are open yearly. 

  • Notification of Awards: Scholarships are awarded biannually, covering both the fall and spring semesters 

Scholarship Graduate Requirement 

  • Be an Advocate: All students awarded the BetterFutures Scholarship are expected to actively promote the values of the WorldEd Foundation, including inclusivity, sustainability, and global citizenship, by being an advocate in their community. 

  • For Students Studying One or More Years: In addition to the advocacy role, students enrolled in programs for one year or more must participate in the Sustainable Consumption Workshop as part of their scholarship and graduation requirements. 
     

Post-Graduation Commitment (Optional): 

  • Graduates may be asked to mentor new scholarship recipients or participate in future WorldEd Foundation activities to maintain their connection to the program and its mission.
