Hello, I'm Helena, your Sustainability Guide! I'm 18, from Poland, and a WorldEd scholar since 2022. WorldEd opens doors to diverse cultures and experiences, keeping me globally minded. Learning is my passion, and I'm eager to explore new horizons with you. I'm excited to lead the Sustainable Consumption Workshop, inspiring you to make a positive impact. Join me on this transformative journey!

What to Expect: 

  • Youth-Led: The driving force behind every idea, initiative, and solution is the youth. It's a platform where young minds come together, take the lead, and inspire change. 

  • Hands-On Solutions: We believe in the power of action. This workshop empowers participants to become creators of sustainable solutions. Through hands-on projects, they actively shape a better tomorrow. 

  • Young Leaders as Guides: The event is not just organized by young leaders; it's guided by them. These young visionaries share their insights, provide inspiration, and ignite the passion for sustainable living combined with human rights. 

  • Interactive Learning: These workshops are not your typical classes. They're interactive, engaging, and hands-on. 

  • Global Connections: Connect with students from around the world who share your enthusiasm for sustainable consumption and human rights. 

  • Expert Guidance: Learn from experts in the field who are making a real difference in areas like sustainable fashion, food waste reduction, and plastics use. 

  • Actionable Insights: Gain not just knowledge but practical skills and insights to create meaningful change in your school and community, with a strong focus on upholding universal human rights. 

  • Inspiration: Be inspired by incredible young minds just like you who are determined to change the world. 

Workshop Details: 

  • Duration: Over the course of 7 months, we'll meet once a month for 1.5 hours. 

  • Topics: We'll explore critical topics such as Fast Fashion, Food Waste, and Single-use Plastics. 

  • Structure: Each school will collaborate with a group of 6 students. These 6 students will be organized into three separate groups, with two students collaborating a specific project (Fast Fashion, Food Waste, Single-use Plastics.  

  • At least one tutor will need to be assigned to each group. Tutors will provide guidance and support students in organizing their ideas. 

  • Final Presentation: Showcase your sustainability projects in a final presentation to your peers and mentors.

🎓 Certification of Participation: You'll receive an official certification from WorldEd School, recognizing your commitment to sustainable consumption. 

🌍 School Seal of Participation for encouraging and supporting your journey towards sustainability.  

🎓 Tutor's Certification of Participation: Your dedicated tutor will also receive an official reference letter and certification from WorldEd School.

🏆 Sustainability Champions: Three exceptional duo (six students) will earn the title of Sustainability Champions, winning recognition for their outstanding achievement. They will receive an award of excellence, reference letters, project exposure on our social media platforms and website, as well as an invitation to become ambassadors for the next edition.

Hello, I'm Michael Nabieu, a passionate climate change activist, and a Co-founder of FAIECY-SL. My journey in environmental advocacy began with a deep-rooted commitment to addressing the pressing issues of climate change and promoting sustainable practices. Through my work with FAIECY-SL, I have been actively involved in empowering communities to adopt eco-friendly initiatives and combat environmental degradation.

WorldEd Foundation and Girls Global Ready Program are joining forces to create an incredible opportunity for young leaders like you to make a lasting impact on our world. 

Hello, I am Prof. Carlos, I'm a numerologist and a specialist in Quantum Analysis, Econometrics, and Tectonics chains. My journey includes earning a Ph.D. from Oregon State University and obtaining diverse expertise, including Advanced Food Security and Permaculture Design. Over the years, I've served as CEO of Focus On Rural Development (FORD) Organization and played various roles in civil society activism. I'm also proud to be a co-founder of Global UnityNet International and currently serve as President & Executive Director of Unity Network Africa & Diaspora (UNAD), fostering collaboration across 55 African states. Additionally, I represent Sierra Leone and Africa in the ISEED University Ecovillage and Global Social Business Partnership (GSBP).

We're joined by #WeStandTogether, a charity dedicated to celebrating our differences and building a safer, stronger community since 2015. And joining us is Jonny Wineberg, Director of Operations at #WeStandTogether, whose insights will enrich the participants' learning experience, encouraging them to consider the societal context of their sustainability initiatives.

We're thrilled to have Student Energy joining our Sustainable Consumption and Human Rights workshop. Student Energy is a global youth-led organization empowering young people to accelerate the sustainable energy transition. Their participation promises fresh perspectives and practical insights, inspiring our young participants to advocate for their projects and drive meaningful change.
