Bridging Perspectives for a Sustainable Tomorrow

In the quest for a sustainable and equitable future, the WorldEd Foundation's BetterFutures Program spearheads transformative initiatives, with the "Sustainability & Human Rights Workshop" standing as a beacon for change. This workshop, guided by collaborators Girls Global Ready and #WeStandTogether, is set to empower young leaders and illuminate the crucial link between human rights and sustainability.

Recognizing the Intersection: Human Rights and Sustainability

The Sustainability & Human Rights Workshop acknowledges the pivotal link between human rights and sustainability, emphasizing that sustainable solutions must uphold justice, equality, and respect for all. Sustainability must be built on principles that safeguard individual rights and dignity.

Collaborators Extraordinaire: Girls Global Ready and #WeStandTogether

The collaboration between Girls Global Ready and #WeStandTogether adds substantial impact to the Human Rights aspect of the Workshop.

Check below for a message from our young ambassador, Helena G., about this amazing initiative and the incredible partners that are part of this project:

Girls Global Ready: Advocates for Sustainable Living and Human Rights

Girls Global Ready, part of the Girls Future Ready foundation, is a program, that connects girls from Central-Eastern Europe, English-speaking countries, and beyond and empowers young girls to be future-ready. Through a series of monthly challenges, the participating girls develop self-confidence, digital literacy, a global mindset, public speaking skills, and more. By exploring the most pressing global issues, such as human rights and the connections between fast fashion, food waste, and single-use plastics, the Girls Global Ready program highlights the profound impact on labor rights, access to food, and environmental justice.

#WeStandTogether: Fostering Unity and Tackling Social Division

We Stand Together, a charity based in the UK, celebrates diversity and works to eliminate hatred and intolerance. Jonny Wineberg is their Director of Operations and has an extensive background and commitment to fostering inclusive environments and challenging discrimination at its roots. This will enrich the learning experience, encouraging participants to consider the societal context of their sustainability initiatives.

Anticipating the Workshop: Impact and Richness Await

As the January 21st, 2024, workshop approaches, the collaborative synergy promises a transformative experience. Stay tuned as we unfold the workshop's narrative, showcasing the profound impact and richness infused by Girls Global Ready and #WeStandTogether into the learning journey of young leaders striving to make a positive impact on our world.
