As we count down to EmpowerHER 2025: Voices of Impact, we take a moment to recognize and commend the remarkable women who will be gracing our panel on Friday, March 7th, 2025. These women are at the forefront of social change, driving impact through their leadership in the non-profit sector. Dr. Faith Mwangi-Powell – Champion for Girls’ Rights

As the CEO of Girls Not Brides, Dr. Faith Mwangi-Powell leads a global movement to end child marriage, ensuring that girls and women enjoy equal rights and opportunities. With over two decades of experience in public health and international development, she has dedicated her career to advocating for women’s empowerment and gender equality. Her previous work with The Girl Generation and the African Palliative Care Association has cemented her legacy as a tireless advocate for systemic change.

Dr. Faith’s leadership continues to inspire action on a global scale, proving that collective efforts can create a world where every girl has the right to determine her own future.


Dr. Judy Makira – Bridging the Gender Gap Through Technology

Dr. Judy Makira is a social entrepreneur, academic, and community activist committed to leveraging technology for women’s empowerment. As the co-founder of Centre for Women Empowerment in Technology (CWE-TECH), she works to ensure that women have access to digital tools and opportunities that can drive socio-economic growth.

Her work at Embu University, where she lectures in Language Education, complements her activism, as she advocates for integrating technology into everyday life. Dr. Judy’s historic political run as the first woman since the 1960s to contest a parliamentary seat in her region further highlights her commitment to systemic change and gender equality.


Ms. Chidinma Adibeli – Empowering Youth for a Better Future

As the founder of Mildheart Care Foundation in Nigeria, Ms. Chidinma Adibeli has dedicated her life to advocating for young people’s health and well-being. Through sexuality education, media campaigns, and community outreach, she equips young people with the knowledge they need to lead healthier, more purposeful lives.

Her work addresses critical gaps in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), ensuring that young individuals can make informed decisions about their futures. Through collaborations with global organizations such as The Wellbeing Foundation Africa, UNESCO, and the Global Fund for Children, Chidinma continues to be a force for positive change in her community and beyond.
