Looking Back & Moving Forward: EmpowerHER 2024 & 2025

editorial team

At WorldEd Foundation, we believe in amplifying the voices of women who shape the future of education and beyond. On March 8, 2024, we hosted EmpowerHER in Education, a global virtual panel discussion that brought together educators, advocates, and leaders from South America, Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean. With 61 registered participants, the event celebrated the achievements of women in K-12 education and explored strategies for empowerment.

Reflecting on EmpowerHER 2024

Our incredible panelists—Ms. Andrea Gardner, Ms. Dahlia El Malatawy, Ms. Alina Roberts, Ms. Stephanie Schneider, Dr. Jouhaida Al Rawi, and Ms. Kaja Posnik—shared their insights on overcoming challenges, innovative teaching practices, and the importance of gender-inclusive education. We also recognized the unique “superpowers” women bring to education, including empathy, resilience, confidence, and motivation.

The conversations sparked new perspectives and inspired action. As one panelist shared, “When we support women in education, we uplift entire communities.”

Introducing EmpowerHER 2025: Women Transforming the World

This year, we continue the momentum with EmpowerHER 2025: Voices of Impact – Women Transforming the World, happening on March 7, 2025. This event will shine a spotlight on women leading non-profits, highlighting their transformative impact, leadership strategies, and commitment to a more inclusive world.

Why Women’s Leadership in Non-Profits Matters

Women play a crucial role in non-profits, driving social change, advocating for marginalized communities, and leading innovative solutions. However, challenges like gender bias, funding disparities, and leadership barriers persist. Through this event, we aim to celebrate these trailblazers while fostering mentorship, collaboration, and systemic change.

Join us on March 7, 2025, via Zoom and YouTube, as we continue to uplift, empower, and learn from the remarkable women shaping the future of non-profits!
